Millimetric Thermal Stability: Foxconn Reaclima Project

03 de mar, 2026 | Project

In industries where a thermal variation of just a few degrees can compromise thousands of electronic components, stability is not a luxury — it is a survival requirement. That is exactly what we faced in the Foxconn El Salto project in Jalisco, where Reaclima implemented an integral chilled-water system of 25,000 TR with advanced liquid cooling solutions designed to operate within strict tolerances.

Jesús Monge, Project Manager of the project, shared with us the details that explain why this system remains a benchmark in the industry.

From the very beginning, Foxconn sought absolute thermal stability, modular scalability, high energy efficiency, and long-term reliability. Reaclima participated from the engineering phase: we adjusted the hydraulic layout, selected materials, and optimized flows so the system would integrate perfectly with the actual site without interfering with ongoing operations.

Installing more than 15,000 linear meters of steel piping in a high-precision environment presented significant challenges: millimetric tolerances, logistical coordination without stopping the plant, and synchronization of multiple work fronts. The solution was modular planning by zones, strategic prefabrication, and the use of high-performance mechanical joints that eliminated hot work and significantly reduced risks. The result was a clean, safe execution delivered within the industry’s most demanding timelines.

Commissioning was critical. From the early stages we applied controlled flushing, hydrostatic and pressure testing, precise hydraulic balancing, and full integration with the BMS. Thanks to this structured process, the system started at full capacity on day one, with no subsequent adjustments or interruptions.

Today the impact is measured in concrete results. Constant thermal stability reduced variations, minimized production defects, and guaranteed 24/7 operation without thermal stoppages. Among the most relevant metrics are an operational improvement of over 50 % in later phases, a significant reduction in rework, and a final client rating of 96/100.

In innovation we went beyond standards. We implemented high-performance mechanical joints, hydraulic optimization that reduces friction losses, and a fully scalable modular design — all aligned with ASHRAE criteria and Foxconn’s sustainability objectives: lower electricity consumption and maximum thermal control.

What set us apart was our proven technical capacity in large-scale industrial projects, financial strength, anticipatory planning, and culture of continuous improvement. We did not simply install a system: we delivered an integral solution that continues to support the client’s strategic objectives years later.

The great lesson from Foxconn is clear: validated engineering before execution, early integration between areas, and modularity are key in advanced manufacturing. That is why Reaclima is ready to support future expansions, energy optimizations, or new projects in data centers and technological plants.
